Overview of Day #4 - 04/30/13

Day #4 was a long driving day. We started in Oklahoma City, drove through the Texas panhandle and on through New Mexico, ending in Gallup.

Driving in Oklahoma proved very difficult because of the wind. We met a woman moving from New Jersey to Vegas who said that the wind caught her uhaul trailer and sent her into a ditch (luckily she and the car were ok, and a trucker helped her get out). We were lucky not to have that trouble!

We stopped for a nice lunch in Amarillo, Texas (see previous posts). And took another break in Clines Corners, New Mexico (see previous post).

Costs:
Tolls: $5
Gas: $210
Hotel: $140
Food: $35

Oklahoma! Pretty much flat, green, and windy!

Texas, pretty much flat, brown and a little less windy.

Reaching New Mexico!

First "Dirt Devil" sighting in New Mexico

Sometimes you just don't have enough trucks.
